Terms of Use

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and XLMarket, the operator of xlmarket.io and its API (together, the “Service”). Please read them. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.

They are written in plain English on purpose. Where a sentence has legal effect, it is meant to. The Risk Disclosure is part of these terms.

1. What XLMarket is, and what it is not

XLMarket is software: a website and an API that help you read the public Stellar ledger and prepare Stellar transactions. It lets you launch a token with a liquidity pool, and buy or sell tokens through Stellar's built-in exchange and liquidity pools.

XLMarket is not an exchange, broker, dealer, custodian, bank, money transmitter, or investment adviser. We do not take orders, hold balances, match trades, or move money for you. Every transaction is executed by the Stellar network under rules we do not control.

Nothing on the Service is advice, an offer, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.

2. Your wallet and your keys

  • You bring your own Stellar wallet. We never see, store, or transmit your secret key or recovery phrase, and we will never ask for them. Anyone who does is not us.
  • The Service gives you unsigned transactions. You review them, sign them in your wallet, and submit them. Signing is your decision and your act.
  • Transactions on Stellar are final once included in a ledger. We cannot reverse, cancel, refund, or speed up a transaction, and we cannot recover funds sent to the wrong address.

3. Who may use the Service

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • You may not use the Service if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or territory under comprehensive sanctions, or if you appear on a sanctions list of the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the United Nations.
  • You are responsible for making sure that using the Service is legal where you are, and for any taxes that result from your activity.
  • You may not use the Service if we have previously barred you from it.

4. Fees

  • Platform fee on trades: 1% of the XLM side of each trade built through the Service. It is included in the transaction you sign and shown to you before you sign.
  • Launch fee: 30 XLM per launch, paid in the same transaction as your starting liquidity (minimum 25 XLM).
  • Pool fee: Stellar's liquidity pools keep 0.3% of every swap for the pool's liquidity providers. That is a network rule, not our fee.
  • Network fees: Stellar charges a small fee for every transaction; your wallet shows it.
  • Referrals: when a trade carries a referrer, 20% of our platform fee on that trade is paid to the referrer inside the same transaction. It comes out of our share, not yours.

Fees are collected on-chain and are not refundable once a transaction has settled. We may change fees. The current schedule is always published at /api/config and in the quote you see before signing, and a change never applies to a transaction you have already signed.

5. Launching a token

Anyone can launch. A launch creates a new asset on Stellar with a fixed supply, sends your chosen creator allocation to you, places the rest together with your XLM into a liquidity pool, and then permanently locks the issuing account so that nobody can ever mint more. The pool shares held by the issuer are locked with it. Your creator allocation is not locked: you can sell it, and buyers can see that you can.

  • A launch is irreversible. Once you sign, there is no undo, no refund of the fee or the liquidity, and no way to change the name, ticker, supply, or image on-chain.
  • You are responsible for everything about the token you create: its name, ticker, image, description, links, and whatever you say about it anywhere. You confirm that you hold the rights to the name and image; that the token does not impersonate any person, project, company, or existing asset; and that it is not a security, a claim on any asset or revenue, or any other regulated instrument under the laws that apply to you or to your buyers.
  • You may not launch anything that is illegal, that sexualises minors, that promotes violence or hatred, or that is designed to deceive.
  • We may hide a token from our interface, remove its image or description, or decline to display it, at any time and for any reason, including a complaint. That does not affect the token on Stellar, which we cannot touch.

6. Trading and existing assets

  • The Service also lets you trade assets we did not launch. For those, the issuer is not ours and is often not locked: it may be able to mint more, freeze balances, or claw them back. Read the Risk Disclosure.
  • Prices, charts, holder counts, liquidity figures, and “market cap” are computed from public ledger data read through third-party nodes. They can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. The price you receive is set by the pool or order book at the moment your transaction executes, within the slippage limit you chose.
  • Adding liquidity to a pool is your decision and carries its own risks, including ending up with less than if you had simply held.

7. “Verified” and other labels

“Verified by XLMarket” means exactly four facts that we check live on the ledger: the issuer was created by our launcher account, the issuer is permanently locked, the issuer's home domain is xlmarket.io, and the issuer holds locked shares in the token's pool. It does not mean the token is a good idea, that its creator is honest, or that its price will go anywhere.

Legitimacy scores, “new”, “trending”, age, and similar labels are computed descriptions, not endorsements.

8. Referrals

A referral payment goes to the address given as referrer, which may not be the trader's own address or ours. Referrers have an incentive to encourage trading; treat their promotion accordingly. We may change or end the referral programme at any time; payments already settled on-chain are unaffected.

9. Automated access: the API and agents

  • You may use the API, including through AI agents and other automated clients, under these same terms. The documentation lives at /agents, /llms.txt and /openapi.json.
  • Stay within the published rate limits and back off on HTTP 429. Do not use the API to attack, overload, or probe the Service or the nodes behind it.
  • An automated client that signs a transaction acts for whoever controls its key. You are responsible for what your software does with your keys.

10. Things you may not do

  • Manipulate markets: wash trading, spoofing, pump-and-dump schemes, or coordinated deception about a token.
  • Impersonate any person, project, asset, or us, or use our name, logo, or domain to mislead.
  • Interfere with the Service: attack it, bypass its limits or access controls, scrape it in ways that degrade it, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this regardless of what we say here.
  • Use the Service to launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, or commit fraud.
  • Use the Service where doing so is illegal.

11. Third-party services

Wallets, Horizon and RPC node operators, block explorers, image hosts, Telegram, and the swap partner reachable from our site are run by others under their own terms. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. Links are provided for convenience, not as endorsement.

12. Availability, changes, and data

  • The Service is provided as it is and as it is available. We may change, suspend, or stop any part of it at any time, with or without notice, including the list of displayed assets and the API.
  • We may show on-chain activity, including launches and large trades, on the site and in public channels such as Telegram. That information is already public on the ledger.
  • Privacy, briefly. There are no accounts and no passwords. We keep operational logs, including IP addresses, to run the Service, limit abuse, and investigate attacks, and we use only the cookies the Service needs to work. Public addresses you use are visible on the ledger and may be displayed. We do not sell data about you.

13. Intellectual property and your content

  • The Service, its design, its text, and the code we have not published under an open licence belong to us or our licensors. Open-source parts carry their own licences.
  • You keep the rights to the names, images, and descriptions you give a token. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, resize, and distribute them as part of running the Service, including in share cards and public feeds, for as long as we operate it.

14. No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that any token, price, chart, or label is correct, or that any transaction will succeed.

15. Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, tokens, data, or goodwill, however caused, even if we were told it could happen.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, they apply to the extent allowed.

16. Your responsibility to us

You will defend and compensate us and the people who work on the Service for claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of the Service, a token you launched, content you supplied, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is organised, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction. Where the law allows, you agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the current version is always at xlmarket.io/terms. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. A change does not apply to a transaction you signed before it.
